Privacy policy
LVR has no accounts and no ad trackers. We use Google Analytics to see which guides are read. What our host, image service and analytics process, and your privacy rights.
The short version
- LVR is a reading site. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comments and no newsletter.
- We use Google Analytics to see which guides are read. It sets analytics cookies, except for visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland. We don't use advertising tools.
- We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
- Like every website, our host and image service process basic technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and keep them secure.
- When you click through to Viator or another site, that site's privacy policy applies.
This policy takes effect on October 16, 2026.
Who we are
LVR is operated by Mabro Labs Inc. (주식회사 마브로랩스), Unit 402-412A, 12 Teheran-ro 70-gil, Gangnam-gu (Daechi-dong), Seoul, Republic of Korea (서울특별시 강남구 테헤란로70길 12, 402-412에이호(대치동)) ("LVR", "we", "us"). We're responsible for the personal information described here. Questions and requests go to to be confirmed (subject line "Privacy"). Our privacy officer is Brandon Lee (legal name Heeung Lee), Director, reachable at the same address.
What happens when you read LVR
Our host. LVR's pages are served by Cloudflare, which runs our site on its network. To deliver a page and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data about each request: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, your browser and device type, the referring page, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Cloudflare handles this as our service provider, under its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab). We haven't turned on Cloudflare's optional request logs or its Web Analytics for LVR, so Cloudflare keeps no visit records for us beyond its own operations.
Images. Photos and illustrations load from Cloudflare Images (imagedelivery.net), the image service used by our content management system, mablog. When your browser loads an image, that service receives the same kind of technical request data. Our pages tell your browser to share only our site's address with it, not the full address of the page you're reading. When we checked on 2026-10-13, these image responses set no cookies.
Tour photos. Tour cards show the tour operator's photo straight from Viator's image service (media-cdn.tripadvisor.com, run by Tripadvisor, the company Viator belongs to). When a card appears, your browser requests that photo from Tripadvisor's servers, which receive technical request data such as your IP address and browser type. Tripadvisor's own privacy policy applies to that request. We don't copy or store these photos.
Fonts and scripts. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, not loaded from a font service. Our own small script handles things like the rotating illustrations and the table of contents. It stores nothing and sends nothing back to us. The only other script is Google Analytics, described below.
Cookies. The only cookies we use are Google Analytics cookies (see Analytics below). If Cloudflare ever needs to check that a visitor isn't a bot (for example, during an attack), it may set a short-lived security cookie that's strictly necessary for that check. It isn't used for tracking or advertising.
When you leave LVR
Affiliate links. Some of our links to Viator are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). These links carry a code identifying LVR, not you. When you arrive at Viator, Viator uses its own cookies to tell whether a booking came from our link, and its partner terms allow it to count bookings made up to 30 days after your click. What Viator collects, and how you can control its cookies, is set out in Viator's own privacy and cookie policies. We don't receive your payment details. Viator handles booking and payment as the seller.
Other links. We link to many official sites, such as tourism boards, transit operators and government pages. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in your message. We use this only to reply, to fix the problem you reported, or to improve a guide. If your question inspires a guide, we won't publish your name or details without your permission.
- Email service: our email is received by Resend (operated by Plus Five Five, Inc., in the United States) and delivered to our Gmail inbox on Google Workspace, where we read and store it.
- How long we keep it: up to 12 months after we finish handling your message, unless we need it longer to handle a legal request. After that we delete it permanently.
- Please don't send sensitive information, such as passport numbers, card details or health information.
Who we share information with
We don't sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use these service providers, who process data for us:
| Service provider | What they do for us | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosts and protects the site, delivers images | Technical request data (IP address, browser, pages requested) |
| Google LLC (Google Analytics) | Counts visits and shows which guides are read | Pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, device and browser type, clicks on outbound links |
| Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) | Receives our email and passes it to our inbox | Messages you send us |
| Google (Google Workspace) | Hosts our Gmail inbox, where we read and store email | Messages you send us |
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy would still apply to it.
Our team is in Korea, and our providers operate in the United States and around the world. Your information may be processed outside the country where you live. The transfers outside Korea are:
| Recipient and contact | Where | What is transferred | When and how | Why | How long it's kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. (privacyquestions@cloudflare.com) | United States, and Cloudflare's data centers worldwide | Technical request data: IP address, browser and device type, page requested, time, referring page | Each time your browser asks for a page or image, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection | To deliver our pages and images and protect the site | Under Cloudflare's own schedule. We don't keep our own copy |
| Google LLC, for Google Analytics (Google privacy help (opens in a new tab)) | United States and other countries where Google has facilities | Pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, device and browser type, clicks on outbound links, and a random identifier stored in an analytics cookie | Each time a page finishes loading, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection | To count visits and see which guides are useful | 14 months |
| Resend, operated by Plus Five Five, Inc. (support@resend.com) | United States | Your email address, your name if you include it, and your message | When you send us an email, over the internet | To receive the email you send us and pass it to our inbox | Up to 12 months after we finish handling your message |
| Google Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., our Google Workspace provider, with Google LLC and its subprocessors (Google privacy help (opens in a new tab)) | Countries where Google or its subprocessors have facilities, including the United States | Your email address, your name if you include it, and your message | When Resend delivers your email to our inbox, over the internet | To store the email you send us so we can read and answer it | Up to 12 months after we finish handling your message |
These transfers are needed to run the site and to answer you. You can refuse them by not using the service concerned: our pages can't reach you without Cloudflare, but you never have to email us to read LVR. If you'd rather not have your message go to Resend and Google, simply don't write to us.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to count visits and see which guides are useful. When a page finishes loading, it records the page you viewed, the site that sent you, your approximate location, your device and browser type, and clicks on links that leave LVR, such as links to Viator. It stores a random identifier in first-party cookies (named `_ga`) so repeat visits can be counted. Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses.
- Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and we don't use this data for advertising.
- Data is kept for 14 months, then deleted.
- EU, UK and Switzerland: analytics cookies are off by default, so no analytics cookies are set on your device.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we don't load Google Analytics at all.
- You can also block Google Analytics with your browser's settings or an extension, or with Google's opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab).
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising (we do neither);
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
Because we collect so little, the information we're most likely to hold about you is an email you sent us. Send any request to to be confirmed with the subject line "Privacy." We may need to confirm that the request comes from you, and we'll reply within 10 days of receiving it. If the law allows us more time and we need it, we'll tell you why within those 10 days. You can also name an authorized agent to make a request for you.
California and other US states. California's privacy law (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) and similar laws in other states give residents rights like those above. We'll honor these requests from readers in any state. We don't sell or share personal information and don't use it for targeted advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of today. We don't respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals differently, because we don't track you across sites.
EU, EEA and UK. If GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the controller is Mabro Labs Inc. (주식회사 마브로랩스). Our legal basis for the technical data processed when you read LVR, and for answering your emails, is our legitimate interest in running a secure website and responding to readers. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
Korea. As a team based in Korea, we follow the Personal Information Protection Act. We process personal information only for the purposes described here and delete it when the retention period ends. The privacy officer named above handles questions and complaints. You can also contact Korea's Personal Information Protection Commission (opens in a new tab).
Children
LVR is a travel site for adults. It isn't directed to children under 13, and some guides cover drinking, which is only for adults of legal age. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we'll delete it.
Security
We keep our site simple on purpose: no accounts, no stored reader data and no third-party scripts. Our service providers protect the data they handle for us. No system is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as possible so there's little to lose.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, such as adding a new analytics or advertising tool, we'll update this policy before the change takes effect.
